I think you are missing the larger point here. Both the F650/700/800 all suffer from relatively lacking 'spench. Once you mucking around in there and dumping cash, I've seen competent 'spench shops...

I ran the F800GS stock sprocket on the F650. I did it for more rideablity off-road, as it was extremely easy to stall out elsewise. I got greedy and went even -1 tooth more. That was too much.
