Thanks for that info Jenny, unfortunately for me carrying some back & hip injuries it is much easier for me (where the ground is solid enough) to mount the bike horse style on the centrestand.

Have a look at Howard Leight - Max Lite earplugs, I also seem to have narrow ear canals and these are the most comfortable of the foam plugs for me, I do however have EarMold molded as well.
