The photo of the exhaust port seems to indicate it's burning oil. Weird noise on start up combined with this, it's time for a top end. 685 kit. :deal

I've never seen that before. Perhaps others can chime in. In the other FCR's I've worked on, that's the fuel inlet into the diaphragm for the accelerator pump.
