That's what i'm thinking. Is the oil cooler getting hot? I added a fan to the back of my oil cooler. Really helps at low speeds.

Fact is though, like any air/oil cooled motor, it needs air...

No air filter, with cover= same issue.
re-ran no air filter, no side cover= runs great.
air filter with side cover with end cap removed= runs...

the one time i did it, removed the airbox cover with the filter attached to it. So no sideover and no filter.

Should i try it with the sidecover installed with no filter?

Just got back from a 3800 mile trip, after the bike sat for a few days i noticed the tell tale wet spot on the rear wheel/tire. Wiped up the bottom of the final drive and cleaned out the breather...
