Woody, I'm interested in installing a later Bmw fork with a 25mm axle onto a bike which originally had a 17mm axle. Do you know whether the spoke type hub could be safely machined from a 40mm o.d....

Bob, you got those from me. I was told from the seller that I got the R100 from that those were Alphabet brand. They look good on your bike, and I'm glad they fit. Jonathan

Wobbly wheel

There is a lot of Airhead nuttiness about the wheel bearing pre-load that you can read up on/bore yourself to tears with. Also, check the swingarm pivot for proper adjustment.
