Just a thought...It is a minimum of 3500kms from Santiago to Ushuaia so 7,000kms round trip, probably more like 8,000+. There is not much tyre availability down south unless you get them sent from...

If the 15 min idle trick doesnt work, this could be the first sign of your TPS (throttle position sensors, on the injector bodies) going south. Mine had similar symptoms then got worse and worse.

Stay away from models with immobilisers on! Mine went south and I have heard of this happening to others. It is not easy to get rid of it believe me.

+1 on this. Dont try to use the cable to jump start you will melt it or worse in a short time. But I have used this tecnique quite often with good result, make sure you leave the donor bike running!...

When it is behaving it runs fine through the rev range, apart from the usual glitchyness typical of a 2007 map.
