Damn, I need to get a bike with good wind protection that can support a good amount of heated gear. My limit is usually around 25-30 degrees depending on the wind. And even then I'm feeling the cold...

It stretched some when I first got the bike, but hasn't much since then. Some again when I put the new rear tire on, but I think that had more to do with me over tightening it at first

I should also note that my commute alone is over 1100 miles a month, so I may be using consumables a bit faster then others. at least for the roughly 8 months of the year that I use the bike...

I lube every 500 miles, and after riding in rain. I keep cans at work, home, my parents and my in laws house. A spare couple as back ups..... you would be surprised how fast it seems like you can use...

I've found a good way to combat this is to just spray a tiny bit of chain lube on the side stand pivot point every couple months. Easy enough to do if you are already doing your chain.

Good to know. I'm wondering if it just doesn't work with my stands. I guess they are a little oddly shaped and there is interference with the shifter and the brake when I try to use both stands

I use both tinted and clear shields on my HJC helmet. It takes maybe 30 seconds to swap out the shield. It really is no different then from when I would bounce back and forth between prescription sun...
