These are neat and cheap.
These very small lights are cheap and very bright for their size. Why not buy several and stash a few on the bike ,car and pockets.

Your answer is in your first post.
It was probley just the wind. Your bike on the sidestand is much more stable side to side than an centerstand would be. Much larger foot print. Just take a cord, rope or bungie and secure the side...
