Ok

DL 650 is a great machine and will go two up with luggage unless the rider and passenger are heavy set. Even solo I carry enough gear to class as two up and no problem. That being said with a hack...

Still up in the air but like other I think it sounds like a triple and if I was to guess I would think a 750cc triple "turbo" might be the way to go. Triples work best with turbo/supercharged...

cool

better for the consumer and North American units to be built in the USA to boot. Like many others I also spotted the visual relationship to the 1982 + Honda VT 500 and that's not a bad thing.

Drag racers likely convert the MAX to chain final for quick repair and gearing selection. Shaft for the street requires fluid changes, and spline lube (which is done at tire change time)otherwise...

The older motorcycles with shaft did just that, heavier motorcycles suffered less from that effect. Newer motorcycles have much better suspension control and stiffer frames. Small trade off in light...

I have to agree anything can fail and will. I had a chain last 55000 miles and it was the front sprocket that wore the most the chain was still tight. MOTUS I hope does well but its unlikely.

Good for them

But it is late 80's early 90's style which isn't all bad but why chain final such an odd choice. Shaft is the only final for this layout and you can buy two ST1300's for one of these.

Anyone keeping up with the news? I think the engine looks great managed to mimic a side valve pretty well for a OHV engine. Sound clip is interesting as well, % of USA content should be high. Hoping...

Few motorcycles have been dialed in for air flow, lucky for everyone such a large aftermarket exists to do just that.

To pull or not to pull?

1/4" wide staple (length???) center of rear tread 50% tire wear, no air loss. I'm tempted to pull it out but the length could make that a pandora's box. Ignore it and watch it slowly work in deeper...

Is it worth taking in? Is the backside road decent enough for a V-Strom? Are there other roads in the surrounding area that add to the experience?

any motorcycle purchase is tempting

I would like to ask another question, since the dealer can't find out. Will a crossbones seat fit on a fat boy low. I know it aint no springer but I like to have all the options sorted out.

Owners are nuts about them, true cult classic. When new it had just too many odd changes, ahead of its time perhaps. At least you'll be in a group of like minded riders. Congrats and safe riding.
