Not sure if you're still in Arica, but if so head down to Iquique. They have a Free Trade Zone with three or four tire dealers. Good chance you can pick some up there.

Low seat height DS - think F650GS standard

I have a 28 inch inseam and the standard F650GS works fine. Very close to flat footing it. KLR was way to high, along with some of the Honda models.

The 650 has plenty of power for highway...

Nice ride you have going. I would like to put in some expierence of mine. Shipping from Panama City to Bogota, Columbia, is much cheaper and a more pleasureable expierence than shipping to Quito....

Hi Worldrider - I was in Costa Rica last year and there were many articles in the paper about the potholes, including a detailed account of how they are formed. People really can't visualize it...
