it really isn't that bad compared to the american cities you're probably used to. If you do come early morning or evening rush hour you can avoid the 417 and maybe navigate a little quicker...

Direct Route v.3 also has better Canadian coverage if that helps at all. I bought it on ebay for 100.00 and it works very well...
