I'll 2nd the XRL. Lots of stuff for this bike. Do Daves mods to the carb and its much improved. Check out thumper talk and you will find out alot about the bike. Most people that get them are happy....

Major frontal impact? How big of alip in the asphalt are we talking about? Could you have just tweeked the forks alittle and its out of line? Check for oil sepage at the fork seals.

I have the XRs only stainless system on my XRL and it's a nice pipe. They make a quiet core for it that you might want because it's loud. Very well made about 100db.

I'm running the mikuni flatslide (non pumper) from XRs onl on a stock XRL and have had no problems even right out of the box. Give them a call.

No problem with the wolfman enduro on my 4.0 clark. I use the wolfman beta bag on my rear seat section with no problems at all. I would not change a thing. Three years on the beta and 4 on the tank...

The XRL has the same sub frame problem as the 600 has. Fore where your headed I would rule out the BMW just fore spareparts prob. and complexity,but the xr dr or klr would get my vote.

I had the same problem,bike would not start when it was cold out. I fixed that when I put an XRs only flat slide non pumper on the XRL. Its probably my number one mod that I have done.
