SPOT in the news

http://www.unionleader.com/article/20121231/NEWS07/121239866

Doesn't mention the SPOT specifically in the story but my wife was watching the news on TV and recognized it. She is a big fan. When...

One other possibility: I don't remember the exact error message I got but unit would shut itself down repeatedly. Turned out to be a bad data card. Easy to check out if you have a card you know is...

I had a Legend a while back. For the money, it served me well. Replaced by a Vista Cx. I used Mapsource. I only used it to load Garmin maps but you might want to give it a try.

Good customer service is alive and well at least in one little corner of the world. I bought a used Big Agnes Seedhouse II SL on the flea market here a few years ago. It served me well on several...

Um...well... re-reading my own post I realized I have my XM/Garmin signals crossed. It's true if you call Garmin you're better off talking to the Marine dept. but that has nothing to do with XM...

xm weather for 376C

I found the Fisherman package to be very good on my 376C and a good compromise for cost vs function (about $30/mo). I suspend the service for the winter. One other thing- if you call Garmin about the...

TT sidestand

I can confirm the TT sidestand is easy to shorten. I took 1/2 inch off, decided it wasn't quite there and took another 1/2 inch. That's about the limit without drilling.

Same with me when I put on the Trailtech. You can pull out the plastic foot, saw about an inch off the bottom of the stand and re-install the foot to get a "just right" lean angle.
