We stayed one night in Hanksville at the beginning of a DS ride and they lest us park the vehicles there for 4 days. It's about 30-50 miles south of GR at the lower end of the swell.

Personally I like a pipe for decent lowend but has good pull toward the top. The Knarly didn't have as good of overrev like the stocker and seemed to flatten out some toward the top of the rev range....

FCRs definitely wear out, mainly in the slide area. Gen 3's are much less prone to it though. It's not a cheap fix but then at that point you're better to chuck it and get another off flea bay....

Yup, I've seen it also. It's pretty tough to make a circuit that requires that kind of precision and sensitivity behave consistently when it's subjected to the environment a dirt bike operates in.

I use that method as a buffer between the alum skid plate and the frame. It lasts a couple 2 or 3 R&Rs of the skidplate but as cheap as it is I just picked up a roll and consider it consumable.
