1992 bike

Don't leave your neighbourhood adventure riding with your old bike. Away from home repairs will bankrupt you. Get a newer bike, they are superior and generally tougher.

only 4 days on The Rock

That's like watching 10 minutes of the God Father movie.
This is an real adventure, so beg or steal or do whatever you need to do. But take more time for your trip and make it worthwhile.

I believe that geezer passes can only be purchased by US citizens. I'd suggest not getting a pass. There are lots of places to stay so why pay ahead and restrict yourself to state parks.

enjoy the ride

How much time do you have?
In Ontario just avoid hwy 401, otherwise southern Ontario does have lots to see.
Plan at least 3 weeks on the Rock, just to get a good taste of Newfoundland.
