Went to Alaska in 08 from Missouri. You know by now that only by seeing it with your own eyes how truly grand those views are. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Wet Stuff
I would suggest you use those BIG ziplock style bags to keep your clothing and anyother stuff you want dry when you need to use it. I found that my "dry" bag wasn't when I pulled my sleeping bag out...

Did mine in July from Windsor, Mo. That's about 25 miles west of Harrisonville. I just went to Anchorage and back and it took about 7-8 days each way. I did have lots of rain and that slowed me down...

lowflyer Thats not fair I spent all day trying to get a new tourance on my back rim. I lost, called son-in-law for back up. It's good to have young, strong guys around at times.

Just lurken and read the posts about Ar & Mo. Used to live about 30 Miles from Ar, Ok and Kansas in the southwest corner of Mo. Have been on most of the roads you talked about but never on a bike....
