Yes, that road is part of the normal BARR route and we covered it on the ride before we ended. It's a smooth, twisty, pleasant piece of asphalt. :thumb

K 1200 Gt

The K 1200 GT is my favorite bike to date. It is my 5th BMW, following an '83 R 100 RT, '85 K 100 RS, '90 K 100 LT, and an '02 R 1150 RT. Prior to those bikes, I rode a variety of Japanese bikes.

BMW has a soft case for the bike.

You can put about any GIVI on it using a bolt-on or replacement rack.

I have a T-bag that works very nicely with the Stealth backrest and stock rack.

That is the same solution I found for my surging/pinging/brake problems with the R1150RT.

So far (4500 miles), the GT is a terrific bike. Enjoy!
