I can't discern a difference in the valve cutout size. These are stock RT pistons and cylinders. They're going in my GS.

Well, if fuel economy is the only measure of "better" then, yes, the Triumph wins. But as you know, so many things large and small contribute to the riding and ownership experience. I'm still loving...

It's no big deal going 1000 miles in 24 hours. I've unofficially done it three times, twice on my R1150GS Adventure, and once on a 2009 RT fly and ride. Still alive.:D

P.S. A good seat helps!...

A friend's Triumph 1200 Explorer routinely gets 50-55 mpg loaded, not in the rarified air of the high Rockies but in the flatland mid west. 135 hp. He doesn't baby it. It gets better mileage than a...

If my bike pinged all the time and the AfXIED fixed it, I'd put up with the mileage hit. I guess I'm lucky because my bike doesn't run hot, nor does it ping on 89 octane. I've even run 87 in a pinch...

Hmmm, I was surprised how well the trail attacks work on gravel, and even hard pack mud. I recently ran some PA fire roads on my 2002 GSA with TAs with nearly 10000 miles on them. Great tires.
