I've used this same windshield on dual-sport...

I've used this same windshield on dual-sport bikes (DR650 most recently) and it is surprisingly effective and as you said, can be tweaked easily to make it quite quiet. And it's cheap.

Well, the good news is that a gently ridden sporty gets great mileage, so 4.5 gallons isn't bad. But yeah, if you're looking for BMW GSPD capacity you'd need to get pretty creative.
