The rubber compresses when you stand up and the claws dig into your boot soles, and it takes all of 2 minutes to remove the rubbers if you want...

As a former Honda dealer here in the USA I can tell you there's nothing strange about that in the States. Show the dealers the new bikes at the convention in the Fall, then the bikes are available...
