I don't think you'll be riding much of the COBDR that early. According to the reports I'm getting about snow pack, it will be at least mid-Jun before the passes will be open.

AZBDR vs UTBDR

Overall, I'd say the AZBDR is slightly more difficult than the UTBDR. You have to pay attention most of the time on the AZBDR.

It's a great idea to pack extra fuel even if you can go 170 or more. Wolfman Luggage makes a great bottle holster that I use on my bike even though I can go at least 170 miles. You never know...
