My GS has a 13mm MC. The MC the DRZ came with is half inch, which is 12.7mm. So all else being equal a bit harder and less feel. It's trying to stop a lardier bike, but doing so with a bigger disk....

Nah, I'd rather have it on the crashbar than directly in line of whatever comes off the front wheel. With the former at least I have to crash the bike first for it to get damaged. :lol3

Funny thing, tyres. Those TKCs always felt planted on my dominator, similar circumstances and all, I've worn out a few sets over the years... They just really didn't work on the GS.

TKC I couldn't get on with, felt too much like riding in loose sand while doing 80 mph on the motorway.

Different idea: If that R100S has 40mm Bings and you find the pull too long, fit the throttle levers off some R80 carbs. They're shorter, so there's less pull, so less degrees to rotate at the grip...
