The stock tires are ok for light off roading, but just consider how much heavier and more powerful the 950 vs the KLR, yet the amount of tire contact is almost identical.

I talked to MXtech and they don't have any testing with a 950, but can apply there knowledge of KTM suspension to it....

I doubt its an air bubble. An air bubble would cause a local hot spot, boiling out your coolant is a result of all the coolant being hot. Check your radiator cap, maybe its spring is defective or not...

My 2004 950 Adventure S was totalled in a fire. Progressive says the value is $5550. The bike had around 14,000 miles. Does anyone think thats a tad low. Any idea how I fight that value?

The Adv will wear the same rear tire faster than the SE. The SE has a narrower rear rim so the same size tire will be more rounded on the SE and flatter on the Adv. That being said...if you ride hard...
