Yeah, I think the key to reducing the buffeting is breaking the "low pressure" area behind the windshield. Raking the bottom of the windshield out a bit to in effect create an air scoop should do...

Thanks it does work pretty well, particularly if you are like me and have a general aversion to larger windshields. The setup pretty much gives me all the protection I want without being (for me)...
