Just replaced the rear shock on my 1991 KLR with a Progressive Suspension Rear Shock last month. I just got back from a three week 3700 mile ride. Very happy and no problems.

Hell, just buy both.

KLR for the road and maybe some hard pack dirt roads. Then the XRR for any measurable amount of dirt.
