Exactly. I used EFI headers on a carbed America and fitted the bungs with some shortened bolts (blanking plugs) with excellent results.

I've read that the slides in the Bings can rattle when they are worn producing a metallic noise that's the devil to find. I think maybe Chris (bmweuro) had this same thing happen recently.

The relay buzzes and the solenoid doesn't engage to spin the starter? Check the 12v line running from the starter button and check the ground wire, too. Sounds like the relay can't pull the latch...
