I'm am very doubtful a 300mm length of 3mm plate would noticeably increase the stiffness of a chassis that has two lengths of 30x30 rhs in the same area.
I still prefer plastic skidplates though.

I said TO ME it is not a race bike, a far faster 'race bike with a plate' would be a wr300. The TE511 has numerous road going features...

Turns out the secondary float was bent, so secondary carb was overflowing. Runs awesome now.
