Put mine up for a year while deployed, at approx 30k miles

I had access to a somewhat insulated, somewhat heated storage space on central Cal coastal mountains, full rodent access: dry summers 80-90; very wet winters 30-60. Washed, waxed, polished with...

For the house...

Rogar Champion. Pricey, worth it, replaceable parts for generations of use. Got an old one (really old) at a thrift shop for 20 bucks. Winesnob good friend has been using his for 30+ years.

Excellent!

Good book.

OP, good choice, good on ya. Glad you had the opportunity to avoid further conflict. Don't judge everyone by this dick's behavior, but do keep an open awareness that dicks do happen.

Liviob, I went with the R850R 37:11 FD on my '02 GS about 15k miles ago; that was at 59k. Much much much much better for 2-up, especialy loaded for camping. Much much much better for offroad (though...

That's what I measured the oil temp at when mine felt hot, a couple years ago. I had just changed out the FD (went with lower gearing) & thought the 'new' FD felt warmer than the stock I had removed....

Hmm, mine's always the right turn signal

I stopped replacing the lense, just use superglue and clear packing tape to hold it togeter, until it's too badly crushed to re-use! I actually have a pair of identically jerry-rigged 'spares'.

Modifying the BMW bag locks

I realize you want to keep the Jesse's but as an fyi, you can modify the stock bags to keep them unlocked, allowing you to open them without the key. You can still lock them as needed.
