Watch the weather

Reidy008 and I did the southern half a few weeks back. It was in fine shape.

We are supposed to get a decent storm this weekend which will likely bury much of the northern half in snow! Even if it...

Two time loser!

Great RR SlowRed! I wonder if we'll have snow up there this weekend??

Just for your survey, I've broken two chains out on the trail. Second time I had the breaker and links!!! :deal

Not this time

I have a funeral to attend on sat, and my wife's b-day is sunday. If I miss that, I'll have another funeral to attend..mine!

Should be back in the saddle after this week.

Have fun and take pics!

More of a challenge!

Snow? Bull Run Trail? Hmmm. I guess it's just me, but I don't think that trail needs any additional difficulty boost! :deal

DOD needs that XR

Aw c'mon DOD, you need that bike! What will you work on when your not working on one of your others? I saw an empty spot over on one side of the shop a couple weeks back...

Doesn't this XR deserve...

Fuel up!

I have a stock WR450 with 2.1 gal tank and by Crown King I was getting pretty low. Normal trail riding I would guess I'd get about 80 miles to a tank. (Larger tank is on order!)

Pretty good climate, enough restaurants etc, nice state park right there. Yeah, I think it would be a good spot based on what you say you like. It won't have the VIBE of a Crested Butte or Bend, but...

You got that right!

That was the first moment in many moons where I thought I might be in serious trouble. Probably what saved a worse injury was all my muscles and tendons were so worn out they were nice and pliable!...

February in Arizona, you gotta love it!

Thanks

I ordered the Clark. Have a 4.7 on my XRL and have been happy with it too.

I think with the wimpy 2.1 gal stocker on the WR my range would only be about 78 miles, give or take. That's not much out...

WR450F oversized tank

Just got a new to me '08 WR450F.

Anybody have experience with the different choices of larger fuel tanks? Pros and/or cons?

Not sure if I could get 100 mile range out of the stocker so looking...

Red and Black one?

I had one of these back in the day, great bike! I put tons of trail and street miles on it and never had an issue of any kind.

Can't speak to the smaller wheel, but might be fun to try.

Good...

Lots of choices

Cyberdos had a good list there.

You mentioned Tombstone. It's alright for a visit, but they roll the streets up early there, and food choices are limited. A pure tourist town nowadays.

Not far...

Well...not quite that fast

I think it took us about 4 hrs from Mexico to Benson. Then about 2 hrs to Mammoth, then a little over an hour up and over Pinal Peak.

Which version?

Thanks 'dos, but don't you have the model that "calls them in" rather than the "sound the alarm" version? Suuuuuheeeee!

I think that's enough jocularity for one evening.
