Mine is definitely leaking at 100k km, not badly and no brown sludge or contamination of the clutch yet. The only thing is a new slave is $319 here.

I just put on the Tourance Next, they are great on road but I will not be taking them on anything other than dirt I would ride my sport bike on. I have TKC80's for that.

Water from a hose is OK pretty much anywhere (dont fill up the air intake). You should not shoot a pressure washer towards any seals like wheel bearings etc. It can force water past them.

OK so I disconnected the connections to the NSU and worked out what made it tick. The blue wire has to be at ground to light the neutral lamp. Then I warmed up the bike and it eventually flickered...

I would say no to that, with 31L of fuel you would be lucky to break 1000km on road at lowish speed even with a lightly loadedlow capacity bike. My old 250 might have done it just (with no gear).
