For my needs these are perfect for all tire changing stuff plus other daily essentials. The heavier tools, compressor, tubes, water, etc. go in the saddlebags, putting the weight as low as possible....

My only caution would be that some 2008 models had premature fuel pump failures. My 2010 has over 22K and I've never had a mechanical issue with the bike.

A new fuel pump is in the $200-250 range...

My experience...

I've always done fine with the method of having someone sit on the bike and compress the suspension and adjusting so there's about 3/4" of movement when the suspension is at its tightest point.
