I bought the unit new, from amazon, and it came with the waypoint manager cd, not the navigator. At first I couldn't understand why, but now I think its because they probably sell these to a lot of boat users that wouldnt need the navigator software.

It seems when you call, its hit or miss depending on who you get to talk to. Go ahead and register the unit online. I'm betting you'll be eligible for a free upgrade since you bought this unit new which would be the best outcome.

Yeah, not sure why they don't include the actual DVD when you buy it. It would save a bunch of headaches from users. Even Boat users usually have a truck and could benefit from being able to have detailed maps on your PC.
