Yeah, I didn't notice that until you pointed it out. I don't know why they are long like that. Hell, they really don't even buckle, they've got a plastic snap clip thingie for quick release. They are good bags, though.

I contemplated selling the Sporty, but my wife likes it, my mom likes it, and it is still a lot of fun to ride, and dagnabit I like the way it looks. Classic looking bike the Sportster model. So I will keep it and my GS, but I know I will be riding my GS a loooot more.
