Naa, not really... My dad has almost 25 years of rallye experience. Over the years he has told me many of his beginner stories over and over again and how he has learnt from them. As long as I would've gone with him, there wouldn't have been anything to be afraid of!

I've also considered the Touareg as a beginners option for me. Heard a lot of positive feedback from many international riders. My main objective is actually to get to the UAE Desert Challenge in about 2 years time (after I'm done with school). The price is quite reasonable when compared to other major FIM rallyes. I might try an squeeze in the Touareg beforehand, though.
