Been a busy week. UPS delivered a Continental front tire, fork boots and fork seals.
So I pealed the 40 yr old rubber off the wheels and after major cleaning of the inside of the rimss I spooned on a new front tire and tube. Still have to buy the rear tire. That one is a little more $$. The rims and spokes will have to be replaced at some point but for now what I have will work.
Then today I went and picked up my crank and a small pile of parts
New crank bearing, rod bearings, new sludge trap. Ballanced crank for 650 pistons. New pistons, rings, wristpins.
New oil pickup tube and sump plate.
new brake shoes
Crank shim kit
Lock tab for LH footpeg.
So yea a few parts.
So I came home and put the forks back together. They are just loosly put together as I have a little more work to do with them. But they work and look waaay better than they did.
