Ok, so the road spills out onto the Panamerican highway...I felt like I had reached sacred ground...the path that many a famous and not so famous adventure rider has passed before me.
That didn't last long though...it's hot and not very picturesque...at least in this particular spot anyways. I put that lofty notion out of my mind and continued on to Puntarenas and the ferry.





The way to Puntarenas and Puntarenas itself is probably the least enjoyable part of the entire trip. Its hot, there's lots of traffic once in the town and there was nothing remarkable about it (that I saw) except where it's located geographically. It's actually located on a long ocean spit thats maybe a couple of miles long, maybe more.
Anyways, we found the terminal with pretty good timing as vehicles were starting to line up. Carla went for tickets across the street in a little market area...which was kinda interesting.
