revalving the xc front forks

i've been playing with the front fork valving on my xc and have found there is a lot of potential with these forks (yes, i know it supposedly can't be done but by machining my own parts i can now make changes to valving/shims).

i've found the compression side really does nothing until you get through most of the travel. the rebound side has the control of both rebound & compression but the adjustment screw only affects rebound. by modifying the compression side i've found a lot more control throughout the range as well as the ability to have meaningful adjustments.

as i continue to test out the settings i will post my findings.
