My buddy has a 1250S, and I'm always amazed how effortlessly the FZ1 pulls away from the Bandit. As you say, as soon as the tach goes past halfway around the dial, the Bandito gets left in the dust and disappears like a tiny dot in the rearview. And if the road gets twisty, the Bandit doesn't stand a chance, either. Big low end or not.
