Not an attack! Just a thought as how over geared and over weight the Triumph gets with no suspesion to start with...

I'm with you Max.
I'll admit that I don't have any experience with motorcycle touring yet. I have done a good bit of backpacking. Smaller and lighter is very advantageous. I imagined solo touring on the Scrambler would work just fine with a decent duffel across the back and the ginormous Triumph tank bag.
