I figure if I need a bit more height on the jack I can get a pin to go through the holes on the 3/4" bar so the 1/2" jack bar slips in and sits a bit off the ground.

looks like they took your advice and have upgraded.
great find, btw... i have been thinking of adding a come-along to my gear for this reason, and to get unstuck.
with the "rope trick" accessory, this thing does both!
