I've had a pair for a year now. For someone that likes to go barefoot they're the next best thing. While I don't wear them around town, they are my main shoe for camping, kayaking and all things outdoors when hiking boots aren't needed. They pack small and light, dry out fast, and provide enough protection to walk river beds without any issues. Best water/outdoor shoe I've ever owned.

And yes they look goofy, then again I'm not one that needs the approval of my peers to validate my manhood.
