Originally posted by Summerinmaine, I believe I recognize the "Fanticmotor" chopper engine as a 2 stroke Austrian Puch. I had a late '60s Sears 125cc street bike with similar engine that was one of the worst ever. It had been sitting for months, maybe years at local small town Sears catalog store so we bought it for cheap. You are off to a bad start when it takes several hours at local lawn mower repair shop to clean the carb and get a new motorcycle running. Another bad sign is when they include a full service manual with the bike. It spent a lot of time in the shop. Just one indication of the quality: I was riding down the highway on a hot day when the glued-on Sears tank emblem fell off. I would include a picture of it but we never took any. Didn't want any proof we owned it.
