I did the same thing w/ a 3x Burris. When I took it off the FA, the lines of the scope were kinda bent. I put it on an Encore w/ a 12" .454 bull barrel, shot it once, handed it to a buddy to have a go and he held it up, looked confused, held it up again, looked confused again, and handed it back to me. The wires, or whatever they are, were just kinda wadded up in the bottom of the scope. Oops. Burris sent me a new one.

i had that happen with a weaver on a .243. cross hairs just seemed to come loose. they weren't wadded up on the bottom but it shot all over the place and wouldn't adjust at all.
