The last couple of years, my oldest and I have taken two weeks off and traveled around the country. These are from our 2009 ride:
Outside Dooley's Cafe, Boonesville, Owsley Cnty, Kentucky....from where my family came from
Followed a 2-track to the top of the ridge above the Little Sturgeon and found the old family cemetery. THis is a modern stone placed on the graves of Great-great grandparents
From Owsley County over thru the Smokies to Cherokee, NC. Had to go by way of the Dragon, of course
From Cherokee, NC, we followed the Trail of Tears all the way out to Okmulgee, OK..
