Thanks, VTwin, for the links. Have been doing a lot of reading for the past week and found your threads concerning the rebuild process. Followed that to your ride reports (you hang around with cooler friends than I do--some great bikes anyway.)

Haven't had parallel twin since 1985 (Honda CM 400) and my last bike was a Yamaha Radian (hence the user name.) Rode an crapped out XS 650 a couple of years ago, but that was the last parallel configuration I've been on.

I've seen the old Cycle World reviews, but other than general statements about liking the bike there isn't a lot of specificity in their reviews.

Really curious about how it handles. Pretty stable while cruising? Responsive in corners? Quick steering, or more cruiser?

I've seen mention of it being a small bike, but will it handle two-up with approximately 330lbs on it?

The bike I'm anticipating is the X model.
