Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. Yamaha is replacing the whole rear shock assembly under warranty, ie. free. If they weren't, I'd have just fashioned a metal support bracket for the existing broken knob, found an alternative stronger knob or, if it all got too hard, keep using a small adjustable spanner to change the suspension setting. All is good!
