Gonna be crossing it again this afternoon. According to the website, this is the last year for the current ferry barge; a new one is under construction. Be interesting to see what it looks like next year.
Couple years ago I stopped into the Town Pump. While enjoying a burger, I asked about the ferry. Bartender pointed to the guy knocking 'em back at the end of the bar and said, "He's the captain. Don't think it's gonna be running today..."
