Work has been slow on the truck. Got some more brake parts and started tearing into the left front.
Oops, looks like the inner axle seal is leaking into the front wheel bearings as gear oil is getting in the grease.
Good thing it forced me to disassemble the front end as the top pivot bearing fell apart when I removed it.
Another plus is finding out the inner wheel bearing race has spun at some time and a not too permanent fix is to stake the hub and hope enough material holds the bearing in place. It didn't in this case. So it'll need a good hub.
Ok, so looks like this project will be on hold for a bit. I have my choice now, either work on the little Suzuki K11p, M31 or start tearing down the engine of the Ulysses. At least I finally have a buyer for the Rover, so it'll be someone esle's new project.
