The new Tech 8, which they're actually calling the "Alpinestars Tech 8 Light" is being made in Croatia, Italy and
Romania.

One of the main goals Astars has with the new boot is, as you may guess by the name, to make it
as light as possible. In fact, they say it's the lightest weight MX boot on the market in the category.
It's half a lb lighter than the previous and it's also perforated. Astars also claims that its sole has been
tested against Gaerne and SIDI to be the most durable.

Numerous other changes were done to the buckles. Also the inner bootie has been changed out to
be more like an ankle brace, with no toe cover, meaning the boot will fit even better for a wide foot.
