Hey Tyson, nice writing and riding! 15 years ago I rode the Longwater Gulch road on my old R100GS. Many attempts with one success. It's a hell of a hill for sure. Before the Hayman fire you could go down from the north side cross the South Platte River and up the south side. Last I looked, the north side is also gated off. The river crossing was called the Teller County Car wash. Usually it was a pretty exciting event. I can't wait to hear how the Taylor Pass assault went. I rode by the bottom of the road yesterday and it looked like an ATV convention was in full swing. From what I saw of the road it looked like it had your name all over it. I decided it would be more fun to fix my flat rear tire at the Sun Sports bike shop in Gunnison. All in all I had a great ride.

Anyway nice ridding with you & your bud yesterday.
